Seville expands its air connectivity with new international routes
Seville strengthens its network of international connections with the incorporation of new air routes that will improve access to key destinations in Europe and other regions. These new connections highlight the city’s commitment to optimizing its transportation infrastructure and its growing role in the global arena.
An example of this is the new connections that are being implemented in the city. Starting in September, Seville will have a new direct connection with Istanbul, operated by Pegasus Airlines. This new route, which will offer three weekly flights, will establish Seville as a crucial access point to the Turkish market and to the extensive network of connections provided by the Istanbul hub, one of the nerve centers between East and West.
Furthermore, in November, EasyJet will launch a new route between Seville and Basel, with flights scheduled on Mondays and Fridays. This connection will be the third operated by the airline from Seville, thus expanding travel options between the Andalusian capital and Switzerland. The incorporation of this route will facilitate access to one of the main financial and cultural centers of Switzerland.
Likewise, on December 12, Transavia will inaugurate a new route between Seville and Bordeaux. With two weekly flights, this new connection will expand Transavia’s offer from Seville, which already includes flights to Nantes, Montpellier, Paris-Orly and Lyon in France, as well as to Brussels and Amsterdam. This expansion reinforces Seville’s connectivity with a series of key European destinations.
On the other hand, the capital of Seville will also have a connection with Stockholm, operated by the airline Scandinavian Airlines System. The announcement of this agreement took place within the framework of Routes Europe.
The incorporation of these new air routes not only improves Seville’s connectivity with important international markets, but also offers travelers greater flexibility in their travel. The expansion of the air route network reflects the continued growth of Seville as a global destination and a strategic center in air transport. Furthermore, these new connections will contribute to consolidating the role of the capital of Seville on the international stage, facilitating access to the city and its many attractions.
